Zakopane is considered to be the “winter capital of Poland”. It is the highest situated town in Poland. Several mountain streams end in Zakopane. The city is surrounded from the north by the Gubałówka mountain range, and from the south side the  majestic mountain Giewont with a characteristic cross at the very top looks down at it.

In the past,  sheep were grazed in the area of ​​today’s Zakopane and temporary shepherd settlements were created there for this purpose. An ideal location at the foot of the Tatra Mountains provides unforgettable and spectacular views of the highest Polish peaks. Zakopane is a tourist attraction itself: a famous promenade known throughout Poland called Krupowki, traditional buildings, and original folklore – they are all very attractive to visitors from other regions Beautiful, picturesque Tatra valleys, charming mountain lakes and snow-capped peaks looking menacingly from above … you have to see it with your own eyes!
